Purchase of 4m Amada Pressbrake

Although City has for some time operated two Amada 4 metre long pressbrakes, one of them was over ten years old and due for replacement. The latest purchase of an HFT 170 tonne pressbrake means that there are two identical machines side by side which has great advantages in ease of operation and in the handling of jobs requiring complex set ups.

City is known primarily as a sheet metal fabricator with laser capability. Dull polished stainless steel is one of the most frequently used materials at City Engineering. Although we buy in sheets already polished and coated, handling and manufactures can involve the degradation of surface quality. One pass through our new Costa graining machine restores products to a pristine finish and this valuable new asset can process blanks up to 1100mm wide including situations where forming operations have already taken place.
